Hi ,

Lorne reminded me of my recent trip to Fraser.

Some highlights were :

White - breasted sea eagles
easily seen Eastern Whip-birds at Central Station
YT & RT Black Cockatoos
rufous fantails
eastern yellow robins
and two possible sightings of Red Goshawks

- first seen whilst diving along the beach just up from Hook Pt.
- second sighting on the inland high tide track going towards Hook Pt. 6 days later.( Easter Sunday)

I had asked the Rangers wether they had seen any and the female Ranger said a couple of them looked for them about 2 weeks earlier without success. There were 2 maybe 3. I had only viewed them for a second or so without bins. before they flew further inland. They were definately a large red-brown heavily-barred raptor.

Cheers,
Peter.
