Below is a list of all the species I have seen at a
woodland remnant in western Victoria that I visit four or five times a
year. I conducted a monthly study here in 1989-1994, the results of which
will appear in the Corella journal. I recently began doing three 20 minute
counts here again, although they not as frequent or regular as I no longer live
in Moyston.
Some may remember my posting about the welcome
reappearance of a Diamond Firetail after an 8 year absence. I recently saw
a single bird there again, but again could not find another one, but let's
hope. Still no sign of Hooded Robin, Buff-rumped Thornbill, Speckled
Warbler or whiteface yet. The list below summarises the results of five
visits to each transect over the last nine months, a total of 15 visits for 50
species of birds.
