Hi all, 3 of us took off yesterday to find the Freckled Ducks first reported by Peter Waanders at Hart Lagoon, Waikerie in Sth Aust. Shortly after arriving Peter rolled up and saved us some time in finding them, thank you Peter. The sky was overcast and the light very dull, one of those days when everything looks grey. We managed to pick up the bill and head shape and the freckles without too much hassle,, but had to crank up to x 60 to get the red patch on the bill of one of the eight or so birds. A lifer for one of our group. Tony.
