Further to Jack Krohn's sightings of WB Sea Eagles,-- while Atlassing this morning, observed two immatures in a dead tree on the Avon River, upstream from Bushy Park bridge near Boisdale Vic. We are seeing this species more and more along the Avon and Macalister Rivers here in Gippsland. I believe the ready availability of easily caught food in the form of European Carp may have something to do with it. As Jack says it is encouraging.
