Hi Mike, first report this year from me of some FTSs from SA. At Tolderol Game Reserve 07/04/01,( 35 22 26s, 139 08 19e), about 9.30 am, some 100 -150 flew through, some high , some flying low and scooping water, going east. Weather was cool 15C, strong offshore (S) breeze, light overcast with change ( rain) forecast for late in the day. Weather warmed to 30C by lunchtime but FTSs long gone by then. Had some excellent close views of some of the low flying ones. Tony Russell, atlas RO for SA. Colin, please make note for newsletter.
