There were three Brolgas at Reedy Lake (Bellarine Peninsula, southern Victoria) today, two adults and a juvenile. There was a pair here at the same spot last October. It would be nice to think that the same pair had bred successfully and returned. Reedy Lake was very dry at the end of summer, but there is some water in it now. Few other water birds, though, apart from lots of swamphens.
