Ian, I can't help with the Chestnut-breasted Whiteface, but I can tell you that it is a wonderful season in the Centre. Good rains in the previous (99-00) summer have been followed by more good rains this summer. The country is green and lush and already there is a good showing of wildflowers, which should continue to about October. I believe though that much of northern SA is dry.
