Hoary-headed grebe (at sea), flame robins, pink robin and grey
shrike-thrush were seen this week in Bayside.   

All these species have returned rather earlier than average. In
contrast Golden Whistlers have not yet turned up yet although
the latest return date since 1993 was 21st March.  Could
they have been affected by the dry summer ?
