Come on all you Kiwis - where are you? I'm surprised nobody has
mentioned the fact that NZ has the ultimate car-detroying machine,
the Kea. They EAT cars, literally. I've stood waiting for the bus at
a couple of NZ resorts, wincing as I watch some someone's car having
all the rubber stripped off itand chewed up - windshield wipers,
mudflaps, seals around glass, spare tyre covers on 4WDs... I bet NZ
Insurers have an escape clause written specifically for Keas!
By the way, there is no point trying to chase the birds off - they don't scare easily, and as someone once wrote to me, "they'll rip your ear off quick as".
