Hi Sydney Birders

Sunday morning 18 March 2001 walked up past the dog training ground at Deep
Creek, back of Narrabeen Lake, Northern Beaches, Sydney. 3 nice sightings

Striated Heron on creek edge by dog training ground
Pair Rockwarblers working the rock face just before the waterfall near head
of creek
Green tree snake on top of leafs of ginger plants by iron bridge - not very
green, rather a soft olivey grey green with bright yellow chin and lower

White-cheeked Honeyeaters were elusive until one sat in full sunlight for
over a minute giving us perfect back, side and front views. Golden
Whistlers, Brown Thornbills, E.Whipbirds, Red-browed Finches, Grey
Fantails, Bulbuls, Silvereyes and Yellow Robins all present (plus other
"usuals"), and a possible Pheasant Coucal - quick flight over path into
dense underbrush. No sign of the Peregrines.

Good birding to all
