G'day all
Peregrine means Wanderer I seem to recall. I heard third-hand today of an
injured Peregrine Falcon at a wildlife rescue shelter in Heywood (southwest
Victoria). It had a band and was apparently banded in Darwin. I don't have my
Hanzab with me but this sounds like a fair distance for a Peregrine to wander.
I'll look it up tonight but if anyone has the relevant volume handy - what long
distance movements have been recorded before in Australia?
The bird is apparently recuperating at Healesville Sanctuary.
Cheers
Steve
