Though not exactly on topic
I think a lot of people will be interested
in this resource.
The Bureau of Meterology has now made freely available
on the web it's weather radar images.
(They used to charge for this)
Click the appropriate Radar location
and you get to play weatherman.
The "loop" button plays the last 4 images.
This is interesting and useful.
We delayed our trip to Capertee on monday
by an hour, with the knowledge that the
huge rainstorm that swept in from the west
would just about have cleared the mountains and
we knew there was nothing behind it.
It might make planning your next Birding day out
more weather friendly.
One warning though, it's strangely addictive.

"80% of people surveyed in a recent independent survey
said they didn't believe the results of independent surveys."
