Hi all, Just to clarify, my reference to scarcity of Yellow Chats was not in relation to very early days, but within recent times. Denise said "some years ago", and also said that John McKean had testified at a trial, so I assume the reference to eating Yellow Chats was well within recent times. A lot of the area in the Alligators River region is difficult to access and it may be that Yellow Chats occur more commonly there than appears by records in accessible areas. Then again, they may never have been common anywhere up here, only occurring sporadically depending on conditions.
