The bird I have seen feeding under a Lyrebird's feet on many occasions
is the Eastern Yellow Robin.
In L.H.Smith's book 'The Lyrebird' (Lansdowne Press 1968)p. 102, he
reports the famous 'Spotty' of Sherbrooke Forest being followed by
Pilotbird, scrubwrens [species not stated] and Yellow Robins. There is a
photograph of the Lyrebird accidentally catching a Yellow Robin in his
claws when flinging sticks out of the way - the robin was hurled several
feet but was unharmed.
Smith also mentions a Kookaburra watching and diving when a large worm
was unearthed, knocking the Lyrebird out of the way.
