Hi Rohan & Birding-aussers, I can honestly say Eaglehawk Neck is one of the finest pelagic venues I've ventured from. It will be interesting to see whether you can match our 'Albie" tally this June but sadly I won't be on it. I have to save my 'bickies' for the October pelagic to Ashmore Reef. If you can get on one of those double-headers out of Eaglehawk - do it, you won't be disappointed, I'm sure!

Rohan, just one thing mate, I wasn't the recorder that day, Tim Reid was. I was asked early if I had brought my sheets with me by one of the QLD regulars but had decided to be a guest/visitor. There were a couple of birds on offer that I needed to see and decided Tim being the local expert should be loaded with that task. It's his patch and besides it is nice to be able to relax and watch birds without spending half your time recording data and at the same time explaining the differences between the two 'Sooties', Grey-headed/Buller's etc. Tim did all that with his usual expertise!

Don't worry Mike (Carter) I won't be so lazy on the Ashmore Reef trip, so if you need a recorder? Cheers, and good birding - Paul.
