Terry,
My guess would be Citrine or Yellow Hooded Wagtail. Motacilla citreola. This
bird is illustrated in Pizzey and In Morcombe. The description in Ben Kings
Birds of SE Asia would suggest this bird. The video being so small makes it
hard. Citrine Wagtail has been seen in Australia in locations from Darwin to
Cairns and down to the Sydney and Adelaide areas. I think there has been
recent postings on birding-aus from the Newcastle area and from Darwin. But
they may have been Yellow Wagtail Motacilla flava. Check the archives for
postings from Edwin Vella and from Niven McCree I think. We have seen Yellow
Wagtails overseas but not this one. They range from Turkey across Europe
east to the Berring sea and Alaska. And south through Asia to India and
Thailand occasionally to Australia.
