Hi Andrew I've looked at the test site for your proposed new way of BROWSING the archive http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/birding-aus-new/ and ... congratulations! With the ability to BROWSE particular months it will make things much easier both for people who have been off-line for a while and want to catch up and for those who want to review a thread. But, PLEASE leave the SEARCH (ie. ADVANCED SEARCH) facilities as they were/are ! I've found them invaluable when looking for e-mail address or info. on a site or species. Many thanks to you - and Russell - for all your work.
