Firstly, more effort would be put into finding out how the ptarmigan got into Australia in the first place. Secondly, the concerned aviculturist whose aviary it escaped, would want it back. Lastly, at least the House Crow is an irregular visitor/vagrant whereas the next ptarmigan would be the first (somebody correct me if I am wrong!).
