Are these guys serious? Cannon netting, bleeding, banding and then anal
swabbing! JFC!!!!!
Sounds like they have a good vet "in the know". He can sow the heads back
onto Godwits after they have been cannon netted. They fly off to the arctic
fully recovered. Science is marvelous. How do they know which head belongs
to which bird. We might have found the reason why so many hybrid waders are
turning up these days.
