G'day all

Typing "House Crow" into an Internet search engine resulted in a few documents
describing what a pest the species can
be when introduced into other countries.

http://www.agric.wa.gov.au/agency/Pubns/infonote/infonotes/in00694.htm
http://www.durban.gov.za/parks/crowmustgo.htm
http://www.uct.ac.za/depts/fitzpatrick/docs/r549.html

I think that is why some people regard it a "shoot on sight" species. Maybe it
could be trapped and plonked in Melbourne Zoo. I'm not fussed either way - I
have enough trouble sorting out the Aussie corvids. In Singapore a couple of
years ago the introduced House Crow was much more common than the indigenous
crow (Large-billed?) - probably 20-1.

Cheers

Steve
