Hi, With all the talk about the House Crow at Phillip Is., I saw six brown/black plump birds on the western tip of Seal Rocks on 18th Jan. They had short beaks/bills and looked like large overweight English blackbirds. Any ideas on their ID ? ( Early returning Mutton birds ?) It was about 7:45pm. We were wating for the Penguin parade which was fantastic. We saw the Short-tailed Shearwaters come flying in at dusk(9:20pm). That was more exciting than the Penguins almost. Cheers, Peter.
