Yesterday evening I saw a female Blue-billed Duck with 5 half-grown
ducklings on Lake Lorne at Drysdale, Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria.
I've recently moved from NSW so I regard BB Ducks as special, even if they
are a bit commoner down here. There was also a Baillon's Crake
in fairly open vegetation. Conditions must be right at the moment,
as this is the 4th location at which I've seen them in the 3 weeks.
Cheers, Ian
