G'day All,
Heard from Jean Petersen of Renmark S.A.that she and a neighbour have watched a pair of Masked Lapwings encouraging their one day old ckicks to swim 15 metres from a little island,( where they were hatched,)to the mainland. They have witnessed this occurring each breeding season for the last four years..and she has a photo of last year's chick, midstream.Come to Renmark in August this year and see it for yourself ??
Cheers Doug Holly.
