I have recently finished typing up a trip report for our trip to Mackay
which occured over the new year. If any one is interested in the report they

Included in the report are sightings of:
* 24 species of Butterflies
* 25 species of Frogs including;
- Eungella Torrent Frog (Taudactylus eungellensis)
- Short-footed Water Holding Frog (Cyclorana brevipes)
- New Holland Water Holding Frog (Cyclorana novaehollandiae)
* 20 species of Reptiles including;
- Ocellated Velvet Gecko (Oedura monilis)
- Lemon Barred Forest Skink (Eulamprus amplus)
* 172 species of Birds including;
- Superb Fruit Dove
- Buff-breasted Paradise Kingfisher
- Metallic Starling
- One very interesting looking egret that may be a hybrid (with a
Pied Heron) and is sure to cause some discussion
- Many other goodies too numerous to mention
* 11 native mammals including;
- Rufous Bettong (Aepyprymnus rufescens)
- Black-striped Wallaby (Macropus dorsalis)
