After a frustrating time yesterday afternoon trying to see as well as hear the Yarra Bend Koel, I was electrified at 11 am this morning to hear the same unmistakable calls coming from my neighbour's oaktree! Despite our best efforts we were unable to get a sight of it. We are located close to the corner of The Boulevard and Clark Rd. Melway 31 E,11 - about 3 km as the crow or koel flies from Kane's Bridge in Yarra Bend. The Koel is now calling some distance away, probably along Darebin Creek..Could it be the original or is it a new one?
