Jon Wren wrote <I believe the correct name for the Yarrabah Road that leads to the Turf Farm and Crocodile Farm is Kamma Pine Creek Road.> The map shows it as Pine Creek Road. (south of Cairns, Far North QLD) <The ABC (worth $8 a day) radio masts close to the Turf Farm has also been a place to find those confusing Red-rumped Swallows all nicely perched on the stay wires plus birds flying> These wires were removed several years ago and no Red-rumped Swallows have been seen there for many years. I did see 33 Red-rumped Swallows on February 3rd last year, on wires along Lower Freshwater Road (the old Hwy north) .This is a particularly good spot in the wet season for all sorts of birds and only 15 mins from Cairns.
