This is probably no help but Moore park ,north of Bunderberg (a suburb?)
is\was a regular spot for them.
When we were visiting friends there a few years ago they had them visiting
their garden regularly,although I did'nt get that "tick" of course.
When I told them that they were endangered they exclaimed "No wonder, they
keep on killing themselves when they fly into our windows!"
