Hi Birders,
It had been thought that the two immature Banded Stilts that were first found at North Chittaway, Tuggerah Lakes on 15 October 2000 had departed because they had not been seen since the 29th October. However I found them again today, in the company of two Bar-tailed Godwits in Chittaway Bay, between the Lions Park at Chittaway and Chittawy Point east, after the houses finish along the Lake shore and about 1 km short of the Point. Access via Kalua Drive, Chittaway, enter the Reserve and walk about 1 km, then cross the 50 m through the scrub to the edge of the Lake! Look for them along the lake shore at this point.

The Comb-crested Jacana at Mandalong Swamp (between Cooranbong & Jilliby on Mandalong Rd) has now been joined by two more Jacanas, so that participants in the CCFOC Outing yesterday had excellent views of the 3 Jacanas, along with 6+ Latham's Snipe, a Buff-banded Rail and sundry other waterbirds.

Moving further north, an adult Black-necked Stork was seen to fly over the F3 at Minmi, presumably coming from the Ceday Hill Drive wetlands at Stockrington and to land in the Minmi Swamps alongside the Freeway on Thursday 2nd November at about 3 pm.
