Hi Birders,
The two immature Banded Stilts that graced the shores of Tuggerah Bay near North Chittaway from 24 October would appear to have departed, they have not been seen since Monday 30 October 2000. A quick check of the more favoured wader sites around the Lakes have failed to reveal the Stilts.

Today John & Carole Carpenter and myself were travelling past Manadalong Swamp, on the Cooranbong-Jillaby Rd and stopped for a look at the swamp and from the road were delighted to see a Comb-crested Jacana  on the swamp together with a group of 6 Latham's Snipe.

Topknot Pigeons have not been around for a while but on 29 October two small flocks of 4 & 12 were seen at Tuggerah Bay and Chittaway Point respectively heading towards the Coast!

Finally visits by Mexicans Keith Brandwood and Edwin Vella on 29 October turned up a Terek Sandpiper at The Entrance (first record since 1991) and a Bullers Shearwater at Soldiers Pt near Norah Head, first since 1993!
