Can you possibly put the below message on Birding Aus for me to show BA's
appreciation for the Twitchathon effort this year. Thanks so much.

The results of this year's NSW & ACT Twitchathon (27/28 October 2000) were
outstanding. 26 teams entered the event, nine in the main race and 17 in
the champagne! I list below the teams who participated in this
year?s event to draw attention to their dedication and achievement.
May their enthusiasm kindle a spirit in all birdwatchers, members of bird
clubs and peoples of all Australian regions, who are attuned to appreciate
our wonderful birds, so that, in turn, their inspiration flows on to others
not so attuned, thereby ensuring that research and conservation become a
world recognised achievement for Birds Australia in its strive for the
protection of our native birds.
A very special thank you must go to Envirobook of 38 Rose Street,
Annandale, NSW for the Main Race first prize of books; Natural Learning for
the second prize Simpson & Day CD Roms, Barren Grounds Bird Observatory,
Jamberoo (www.users.bigpond.com/barren.grounds
<http://www.users.bigpond.com/barren.grounds>) for the third prize
accommodation, Champagne (from a secret admirer) for the Champagne Race
prize and Chorleywood Bed & Breakfast at
www.highlandsnsw.com.au/chorleywood
<http://www.highlandsnsw.com.au/chorleywood> for the rarest bird prize. As
soon as all results are received, all the prizes will be announced, so
don?t forget to send in your completed bird lists. Please make all
cheques payable to Birds Australia. Receipts with tax deductible status
will be issued to all team leaders as soon as possible.
