Hi Steve,
We saw numerous Little Curlews around Darwin about three weeks ago, and also the Brolgas just off the Highway in the fenced-in small part of Knuckeys Lagoon. Counted seventeen Brolgas there, and well over a hundred Little Curlews around Darwin, plus one on the large tank 2km south of Pine Creek.
Ironstone lagoon off Lagoon Rd., accessed thtough Ironstone Nursery, also had many ducks and a few waders.
A single Channel-billed Cuckoo flew across the Victoria Highway about 10km west of Katherine at 7.00am on October 9th.
                                     Cheers
                                             Michael
