I've seen swifties at last ! 10-12 feeding in gums in the grounds of the Fideles factory in George St, Sandringham between 0900 and 1140 today (Sunday) Second factory from Tulip St (Melway p77 B12) if there are any Twitchathon groups who can read this ! But the last time a Red Wattlebird had a go they may have moved off west. First definite Bayside record since May 1991 and latest Bayside spring date on the database. Maybe what was an ill-wind for the shearwaters was a good wind for me.
