G,day birders,

Just a brief report on what was seen recently in the Big River State
Forest, between Enoch Point and Lake Eildon, in the Victorian Central
Highlands.

David Parker and I spent Friday night camped along the Big River, in a
picturesque valley, which after sunset, became brightly lit by the full
moon. Not the birdiest spot, but pleasant nonetheless.

Species list includes:

Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo
Crimson Rosella
Fan-tailed Cuckoo
Shining Bronze-cuckoo (including one that called through part of the
moonlit night - no I wasn't dreaming!!)
Laughing Kookaburra
Welcome Swallow
Black-faced Cuckoo-Shrike
Rose Robin
Eastern Yellow Robin
Rufous Whistler
Golden Whistler
Grey Shrike Thrush
Leaden Flycatcher
Grey Fantail
Eastern Whipbird
Superb Fairy-wren
White-browed Scrubwren
Striated Thornbill
Brown Thornbill
White-throated Treecreeper
White-naped Honeyeater
Brown-headed Honeyeater
Yellow-faced Honeyeater
Eastern Spinebill
Silvereye
Spotted Pardalote
