Glenn Holmes asked about shrike-thrushes and whistlers using rocks to break crustaceans. In September 1995 I observed a White-breasted Whistler in the mangroves at the Wyndham Wharf breaking a shellfish on a rock. I was attracted by the tapping noise. It is too long ago to remember if it was successful.
