Hi all, bit of a late posting but during the last Orange-bellied Parrot count a couple of weeks ago at Edwards Point, St. Leonards, large numbers of waders present (1000+) including Pied Oystercatcher, Pacific Golden Plover, Curlew and Sharp-tailed Sandpiper, Red-necked Stint, Red-capped and Double-banded Plover, Sanderling, and Terek Sandpiper, which is a new bird for me. Apart from the distinctive upturned bill, their yellow legs and similar size to the Turnstones standing beside them made for positive ID.
