Janis
Jude and I beat you by a day. A small flock of White-browed Woodswallows
over Merri Merri State Forest and Masked Woodswallow over Tallegar State
Forest on Wednesday. Also Bee-eaters over Carrabear State Forest (all
between Gulargambone and Quambone - ie north-west of Dubbo for the
geographically challenged). How's that for oneupmanship. You're going to
have to get away from work and come out with us next trip!
I forgot to mention in my posting about the atlassing trips Judie and I have
been doing - White-winged Triller at Dragon Cowal north of Collie (same part
of the world - sort of, anyway) on 8 August.
Yes, spring is here, the Rufous Whistlers, Western Gerygones and Rufous
Songlarks are in full song and nests are to be found for those looking.
Cheers
David
