Hello Tony,

This is dismaying news indeed, these two sites alone have for years been
nationally and internationally known as special and readily accessible
places to see specific species as you have mentioned. Apparently denial of
access applies to other campsite also along the Birdsville Track.These spots
must have been in use for many years  and I and no doubt many others have
looked forward to visiting them.
What did the management say was the specific reason for banning visits to
the subject places?
Campers , both good and bad must have been using camping sites along the
unfenced and relatively deserted road for many years, Did they offer any
reasons for this present attitude?
Thank you Tony for informing us of the situation and speaking -up for us.
