Hi all, if anyone in/around Geelong is interested, there are a pair of Banded Lapwing camping in one of the Council reserves in Corio. Been there the last week or so. Checked again today and seems as though nesting might be underway. The reserve is on the edge of a housing area, also abutted by the local abbatoir! Lots of noise, kids, and bad smells. Be interesting to see how long the birds are present for. Cheers Richard Dilena Ocean Grove Victoria.
