Hello all, I have been contacted by a local group who are trying to promote the idea of firewood plantations on previously cleared land, in an effort to help preserve woodland habitat. (A huge amount of box and ironbark wood is burnt each winter in Blue Mountains fireplaces.) They need a photo of a woodland bird, preferably a hollow-nesting species, which could be reproduced in black and white for a brochure. If anyone has a suitable print that they would like to donate, please email me and I will put you in contact with the people involved. thanks Carol Carol Probets Blue Mountains NSW Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
