I was intersted to read about the 35 Double Banded Plovers at Stockton Beach
near Newcastle. I was thrilled yesterday to see 12 Double Banded Plovers,
also resplendent in breeding plumage at Manly Boat Harbour high tide roost
in Brisbane. They are a stunning little bird, particularly when in breeding
plumage!
While there I looked for the SIPO - think one was different to the rest but a tough call! To tick or not to tick!? Thanks to those who helped me with info on the ID.
