Hello Ozbirders

The Twitchathon is approaching fast: 28-29 October 2000.

You've heard my pitch already. We want more participants this year, and
that includes both as racers and as helpers at the end-of-race event.
Although this is a Birds Australia auspiced event, we welcome members
and non-members alike. Why not take the opportunity to break down a few
barriers between the various birding and naturalist groups while we're
at it!

We also want REGIONAL teams to enter this year. Regional teams can
adapt the race rules to finish at agreed points other than Melbourne.
Just drop me a line to find out how this can be organised.

There will be a national trophy this year too (donated by the Birds
Australia North Queensland group).

If you're interested in registering a team, or helping out with
organisation of the event, please get in touch soon.

Race registration kits for Victoria are available online at
http://www.bluep.com/~oco/vthon2000.html

Get involved! Raise some money for bird conservation and research.
Have some FUN!!!!!
