My sincere thanks to Ian May for his passionate, objective, informative and invaluable posting on the plight of the Banded Stilts, a true bird of the El Nino. I hope that many others will take up his plea to write to the SA government to urge them to intervene urgently. I believe that it is one of the most important matters brought to birding-aus for a long time.
