Given that loss of habitat is the most serious threat facing wildlife, I would like to put in a plug for the Rainforest site.

Clicking on a button donates money (provided by sponsors of the site) to the Nature Conservancy, which is used to buy land. According to the site they run the largest system of private nature sanctuaries in the world (in the US, Canada, S America and the Pacific).

One click can be made each day. You might like to consider making this site your home page.

This site also has a link to the Hunger site, which works in the same way, providing basic food through the UN World Food Programme.
