I've got 5 days in Sri Lanka in August and hoped to visit a couple of
national parks. I'll probably end up hiring a car and driver so does anyone
have any good tips of companies to use and places to visit/stay (though
believe it or not I'm more interested in seeing mammals rather than birds!).
I'll need to go spotlighting to see most of the interesting animals but have
no idea whether that's allowed in any national parks (it isn't in India, at
least for the most part). Has anyone been spotlighting in Sri Lanka in
worthwhile areas? I've tentative plans to visit Sinharajah (has anyone
stayed at Martin's Place?) and the Horton Plains and/or Yala. So if you
have any knowledge of the area I'd welcome some advice.
Cheers
Jon
