In Atherton NQ last week I came across a single neatly snipped-off wing which belonged to a White-cheeked Honeyeater. At first I assumed a cat ate the remainder, but when I think of it, cats seem to leave behind a scattering of loose feathers after their feast. I know a pair of barkings owls lives along the creek which is in close proximity to where the solitary entire wing was found.
