Hi all, this being very much a birding topic, I hope you will forgive the ad.
The South Australian Ornithological Association has just released it's
Centenary Book, "Birds, Birders, and Birdwatching" 1899-1999, celebrating
100 years of birding in South Aust. The book is a collection of chapters
written by long term birders in SA covering a wide range of topics and
experiences over the years. Some content is historical, some nostalgic and
anecdotal, some mildly scientific. A must for any birder's bookshelf
providing an account of the activities of the first and longest standing
ornithological group in Australia.
The book is beautifully presented in full colour and sells for $25 +p&p. It
should be stressed that this price only recovers production costs, there
are no intended profits.
Please address orders either to myself via email, or to The SAOA, c/- The
Adelaide Museum, North Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000.
Thank you.
Tony Russell.

There's nothing quite like the feeling of seeing a new bird is there?
