Hi Folks
Whilst we welcome any vaguely bird-related debate in this forum, some
topics have a way of wandering further and further off course, and
almost invariably, these end up in brief (or not so brief) messages
of abuse, derision, intolerance, disgust etc etc....
2 requests PLEASE:
1. When the discussion has covered just about everything possible on
a topic, and marginal issues start to dominate, it may be worth
discussing them privately (i.e. reply directly to each comment, use
cc: if you think there is a small band of devotees or hair-splitters)
2. If someone annoys you, PLEASE take it up with them PRIVATELY (a
measure of politeness wouldn't go astray) rather than airing this
stuff in public. We've only had one case of legal proceedings over a
comment on Birding-Aus (as far as I'm aware) and I'd like to keep
this score in the singular.
Could we move the vegie stuff over to rec.sports.grass or
alt.binaries.pictures.herbivores?
