G'day All,
I had many nice cheer up emails from many on this list
and I thank you all. So I thought I should reply to
all with how my day has been? It started very early
with some strong cawling from my new son? "Eggbert"
and after a fight with him for my doona I got up and
made the household some breakfast, nothing flash just
some baby food in a syringe, a worm here and there and
an entree of bugs. Just thought I should warn all
should they call round for a cuppa? All this in the
early morning first light of course. I think they "The
young ones" wanted me to get up real early so I could
see "Australia's smallest" outside my kitchen window?
Bleary eyed all I could manage was a fast double take
and a quick wake up you idiot Mr. Brain? I soon
focused and saw the beaut little one again over in the
bushes of the "Kindergarten" that we missed out on
(sad). So, I took the wee fellow over some fresh clean
water, and what a good drink and bath he had. Did he
let me know what he was or what?
"Brown Striated Heathwren" tick my first ever and what
a sight for sore eyes. No better way to start the day.
No wonder the love of my life has her own SMALL bird
rehab centre eh? :-]
Wait till Hilary gets this email!
Rest of the day was spent telling all my local birds
the sad news, but we keep in there and keep looking
for a place to create their :
"Kookaburra Kastles"
"Rosella Residences"
and "Falcon Flats" if your wondering about this email
and my mental state don't worry I have a rush order on
for some bat bungalow's?
Your right Tony R it's done for a reason.
If any of you out there would like to name a bird nest
box then please do. Never know winner might win one?
