Hello birders, I observed a Noisy Pitta along the eastern section of the ring track of Mt. Kembla (Wollongong) on April 23. The bird was foraging beneath a tangle of vines in a patch of rainforest. When disturbed, the bird flew to a low branch and remained in full view for several minutes before vanishing. I visited the area again later in the week but did not subsequently encounter the Pitta.
