Hi Netters, Did our easter trip to Victoria and SA to see Malley Emuwren, Black-eared Miner, Slender-billed Thornbill and Fairy Tern. We didn't see Fairy Terns at Port Gower. We changed our planned trip back to Sydney via the Murray and instead went via the Vic coast from Port Fairy to Swan Island. We checked everywhere between, along the beaches, rocks and inland salt marshes and didn't see any Fairy Terns. When I went to see the Fiordland Crested Penquin there were four terns on the rocks nearby. Any advice on why we didn't see any Fairy Terns at this time of year would be appreciated.
